Today on our 2014 Lincoln MKZ we're going to review and install the Glacier square-link snow tire chains, part number PWPLC1142. Now to begin our install we've already gone ahead and laid out our chain. We'll be installing these chains on tire size P245/40R19. Here on one end we're going to have on the inside just a simple open hook. On the outside will be a lever hook that will come back around through an open link and hook back into the outside chain to hold it in place once it's in position. Now our crosschain comes to the outer chain and has a hook. We'll make sure that the hook faces out away from the tire. more

Glacier Cable Snow Tire Chains Review - 2012 Lincoln MKZ- Video

Today on our 2012 Lincoln MKZ, well be test fitting the Glacier Cable Snow Tire Chains, Part Number PW1034. Well be test fitting these tire chains on tire size 225/57/17. Now, this vehicle is front-wheel drive, so we will be installing the tire chains on the front set of tires.Now to begin our test fit, well first going to lay the chains flat out on the ground to undo any kinks or tangles. This will ensure that the tire chain will fit correctly on the tire. Well now drape the tire chains over the tire, making sure that the hooks are facing outward, so that we dont damage the outer wall of the tire.Well make sure theyre centered and move to the inside of the tire, where well connect the male and female into the tire chain. Well now move to the outside of the tire where we will again connect the male and female into the tire chain.Note: Use equal +/-1 stop for outside connection.Now, the manufacturer does recommend the cable tensioner, Part Number PW99 in which well use in a pentagonal shape to further secure the tire chain to the tire. more
